Events/TrainingsLogic Model TrainingTuesday, June 17, 2008 9:00am-3:00pm Oakley-Lindsay Civic Center, Quincy $50/participant, includes materials & lunch Registration is limited to 25 participants; deadline to register is June 10th Logic Model Registration Form More and more funders are requiring a logic model in grant applications. This training will teach you the fundamentals of creating a program logic model. The program logic model is the basis for determining an outcome measurement strategy. We will examine the relationships among factors such as program inputs, activities, outputs, outcomes, and barriers to success. Secondly, we will address the relationship between each of these and possible measurements, including outcome measurements. What are the alternative types of measurements that are possible? Which are better? Each participant will be encouraged to share their own planned measurements for discussion and further development. To register, either complete & send the registration form provided above, or contact Laura (lhyde@uiuc.edu; 217-223-8380). Deadline to register is June 10th. This training is a continuation of the program logic model training and will focus on the measurement process: how to design effective measurements that are practical to collect and meaningful to analyze. We will take the measures developed at the logic model training for each program and analyze the possibilities for alternative methods of collection and analysis. For example, we will explore additional sources of survey and observational data that may provide useful outcome indicators. The goal of the this training is to solidify choices of outcome measurement for each project. Attendance at a previous Alliance for Building Community Program Logic Model training, as well as a completed logic model, are required for participation in this training. To register, either complete & send the registration form provided above, or contact Laura (lhyde@uiuc.edu; 217-223-8380). Deadline to register is July 15th.
